Blue Nose Racing Team

John Batty Racing would like to welcome the new subsidiary racing team.  Well it was more a case if they couldn’t beat ‘em they better be allowed to join us.

Meet the team.

These are the two that started all the trouble.  These are Tunis In the purple jumper and Teppi in the blue parker.  Teppi’s uncle Jarno was a famous road racer. They met a sidecar outfit at the TT and decided that they would like to try it.  Unfortunately they are unable to find a sidecar outfit to ‘fit’ them at the moment.  They got together with their mate Poppi from Crete and went shopping.

Poppi’s uncle Papadopoulos offered to set the teddies up for racing.  Poppi got in touch with his mate Hector McGuinness in Ireland and they all set off to do some shopping.

They came back with a little set up to start racing. He was mates with Bagpus who dropped in to visit while they were checking out the equipment.

They found a Suzuki SV650 for Poppi; he decided that he wanted to be a solo rider.  Unfortunately they only managed to do a deal on two racing steelies so Tunis and Teppi have two race bikes to swap for a sidecar outfit.  Poppi suggested that they strap the two together, nobody would notice the difference!  Hector disagreed and suggested they get in touch with Merlin Sidecars in Pity Me nr Durham for advice.

These are the bike experts, the technicians, Nelly on the left; he’s Poppi’s head technician, B-day in the middle Teppi’s head technician, and Spanner in blue.  He’s Tunis’s head technician.  They all wanted titles, and wanted to be in charge.

Spanner and B-day unhitched the trailer; it rolled down the hill and fell off the matting.  They both legged it in the opposite direction and said that Nelly could be head technicion. Spanner decided to try his hand at riding but that didn’t quite work out either.

Hector announced that they didn’t have any tools so the three mechanics said they knew where to get some and produced a spanner!

Hector asked why the spanner was stamped ‘property of John Batty racing’ but they didn’t answer.  Poppi thought that it might be a bit big for the job.  They insisted that it would be ok!!!

Bagpus wasn’t too sure!!  B-day offered to put the spanner somewhere Bagpus wouldn’t like it!!

This suggestion had an odd effect on Bagpus who suddenly remembered he had a prior engagement.

Poppi tried out the SV 650 just as the girls arrived.  Introducing Nellie’s other half

Front right, and Charlie, (at the back, Poppi’s girlfriend) and their mate Snugglas ( a true manx bear from Douglas)

Pictured here with the two bikes that are up for swapsies.  Anyone who can help with a sidecar outfit please contact us on the guest book.  Blue nose racing will be joining John Batty racing at their next race meet.  For their further adventures please watch this space.
