Oliver's Mount Scarborough

Cock 'o' the North

Batty Frog marches on despite adversity.

Hello everyone,

Good to be back since John's big off last year at cadwell. Unfortunately history repeated itself.

John broke down in the first practice, (like the exhaust blowing at Cadewll) giving us all a scare! then in the second practice he came off.
The only difference we got the spare after he fell off this time. hopefully this is the third time. Not hurt though. only his pride. The enquiry concluded that the incorrect tyres were in use. Not rider error! All hands on deck to get the 400 on the road again.

Unfortunately the weather broke on the sunday with a vengence.

Prompting john to put on his wet suit and the frogs from Mr Hillerby's pond to escape. poor little fellows, they were hopping all over the paddock on the sunday. John looked like a giant frog in his wetsuit come to think of it.

John did most of the practices on the 400. He looked a lot more confident by the Sunday, despite the rain.

Doing Abadare for the next race meeting and then it is on to the Manx GP in the Isle of Man.

Sorry to hear Dave Woolams came a cropper. He slid off at Mountside Hairpin and his bike hit a tree.

We've been in touch and he is ok except for hurting his arm but he walked away. Hope you better soon. Best wishes from John Batty Racing

Congrats to Neil Vicars on getting a wheelie on camera. We'll email you a copy soon.

keep an eye open for the TT specials and new interviews coming soon
